Who enacted that rule and how long ago? I am always worried some idiot will try to do that on my lake.

The farmer with a place on the lake whos only boat is a 15hp POS pontoon, they did it for the fisherman, who are still in the skiers way after 11, needless to say we like to surf all the way around the 10ft fishing boats. My dad, being the president of the lake then, and again now currently, fought that for one whole year, he had charts and info and everything, but no, the nearly dead get their way.

That's a shame. I always wondered, at 11:00 do all the skiers/boarders head out like the start of an F1 race??
T
here are so many watersports enthusiasts on my lake I don't think something like that would ever pass. I heard of one case where a homeowner sued the group that made the rules (restriction like yours) for loss of value of their house and won.

Slight jack of your thread....
In one of your first pics, I noticed that your lift had a canopy with side curtains that come down, almost forming a garage. Was that a custom project or did you order it that way?
Is there a curtain that comes down in the back to cover the transom?
How does it stand up to wind, etc?

I need someone to pull me footing. What time can you pick me up? I bring beer, gas$$$, and help wipe down!

It looks like Canopy skirts. Go to www.canopyskirts.com and you can see many pics. I got one for my lift early summer of 2006 and love it. No more dropping the tower or boat cover until it comes out in the fall. Haven't had any issues with wind and the back curtain is pulled up witha rope and pulley.

Somewhere between $1200 and $2000. Very well-made and well-designed unit. My buddy's has stood up well, no problems, for 3 seasons.
