My owners manual indicates SAE 20-50 engine oil for my 1996 Prostar 205 (5.7L TBI). I have been unable to find that exact weight from online suppliers. What are other Prostar owners using?

There are a lot of manufactures doing that weight oil. I know Castrol has it for sure.

Pennzoil 15W40 Marine or similar spec'd 15W40, i.e., Rotella will work fine.

Is there a drain hose or must I syphon oil from the dipstick? What kin of filters do you guys use? This is my first boat, bought in May, so I'm unfamiliar with some of the maintenance requirements. Thanks for the responses.

There should be a drain hose. Napa Gold #1069 filter for me.
