It occurred to me when i received my insurance renewal that I probably don't have enough ins. on the trailer. I only got the whole rig last Aug. It is a trailer for a 230VRS. (Tandem, chrome rims, surge brakes etc.) Any one know what value I should place on it for insurance purposes? It is painted not galvanized. Gets very little use since boat is in slip. Theft not very likely since it is in my yard.

The one of my 197 is valued at 3,000. Single axle, painted, aluminum rims, surge brakes etc.

That would be an 04 model

I know when my dealer filled out paperwork for registration they had to fill in value of trailer. I have a single axle, rims, brakes 2007 and they said it was $4000 on declaration page of registration.

I carries $5600 for mine... my premium is sooo little on the trailer that I figured why not do replacement coverage?

Price of steel is up, right? For new, I'd estimate at least $3,500 for a single axle and $5,000 for a dual axle to replace.

I go along with you Doug, your values sound a little more realistic.

Those were the prices of Dorsey trailers last year. No idea why I know that.
