Finally the day has come when we have bought a boat that is not at least 10 years old! Sold the 1991 Maristar 210 which we bought in 2000 with 200 hrs on it!! So we upgraded to a 2007 Saltwater Series X2 that we will be using in the Fort Walton Beach / Destin area, and up in SC on Lake Keowee in the summer. This will be the 3rd MC owned and we are pretty pumped about it!!

I have to Thank Chad at Carolina Mastercraft in Anderson, SC. He hooked us up with and awesome boat and he was great to deal with. So if you are located in upstate South Carolina stop by and get to know Chad, he is a really good guy and he knows his Mastercrafts. This is their 2nd year (I Think) as a MC Dealer and they really got it going on. There only problem that i saw, was that they are running out of boats to sell!!! Not a bad problem if you ask me!!

I give Carolina Mastercraft 5 Stars!

I have been kicking around the idea of trading up to an SS X2 so we can take it to P'cola, which is were my wife is from. I have not talked her into it yet.

I am still in the middle of the road. I love to ski, but I also love to surf. And I have to put alot of weight in the 197 to surf. Wake Boarding is good at our level. I don't know I will have to think about it for a while.

When you get chance to ski behind it let me know how it is. I know I can't talk my wife into letting me have two boats.

The saltwater series boats do not have ballast gauges as the salt destroys the sending units for the gauges. We salt users have to wait for the ballast overflows to kick on to know when the tanks are full.

And for the pump to run dry to know when they are empty

In the saltwater series, do you guys wash down the interiors after each use?

Sam, that is the exact boat I was looking at before I bought my SS X-2! Those guys are great over there. I talked to them a couple of times and goot a few email follow ups from them. I ended up buying one from Jim @BAWS in Tampa. Here's a pic!

That's the best way to see if the ballast is full since the gauges are crap.

Agree and my boat is new. When empty the gauges show half full.

The sweet water will corrode the entire boat, and the lack of salt in the water will cause the engine to overheat.
