Bought a new X1 because my son and I wakeboard but my wife and daughter slalom. Has anyone found the best rope length for a skiing at 27MPH behind an X1. Also has anyone used a tube sac in ski locker to flatten out the wake for skiers. I had several beginners out this weekend teaching them to ski and would like to flatten it for them if I could.

60ft.... i may be wrong but i dont think adding weight will flatten the wake. a wake plate maybe.

If you want to flatten the wake, get all the weight OUT of the boat that you possibly can. Anything you don't need, including excess riders and excess fuel, should be out of the boat if you want the smallest, softest wake possible.

Hi mccobmd. I have an '05 X2. Half of the family skis and the other half wakeboards too.

We fill the center ballast about 1/2 to 3/4 full when my husband skis. It does help flatten out the wake for him. He skis at 30mph though. Not having a ton of people in the boat helps too.

I can't tell you exactly what the rope length is.:o Maybe some of the slalom guys on here can tell me what length the rope is when you use the orange section of rope on the pole? 40 feet?

:)
