Hi all here is a question I have tried to find the answer to for a while (forgot someone here would probably know), but I need to know the torgue value for the prop nut. I have a 98 ps190 with LT-1 and power slot, in case there is a difference.

Thanks
Steve

Just snug it up good and tight, I am not sure is there is a specific value, but after 18 years and 5 props that has worked for me.

I agree. I tighten my nut real tight, to set it on the shaft, and then back it off a little. No jokes pervs!

Thanks that is what I have been doing for years as well, but figured there had to be a value. Even the dealership said just put it on tight, LOL

Well JKTX21 setting the shaft is important :) Sorry could not resist.

The manual for my '97 PS205 says 50 ft/lbs.

Check it periodically. They can loosen over time.

Always retighten after first use after replacing prop, then periodic checks.

And if it comes off more than a few times, replace the nut. More props, shafts, struts and keys are boogered up by the nut backing off.
