Someone had a red and white 190. I think it was a 2004. They sold it a while back.

Edit: Nevermind it was a 2001

Interesting question pq2. I remember reading a thread with a discussion about the 190's not selling. And mymc brought one in to his dealership to see if it would sell. Or something like that. So I guess there are not a lot of newer 190's out there.

Here was another 2002 in the Marketplace a while back.

TI believe there were two 35th Anniversary boats that were 190s.

Thanks guys, I love 190īs and for sure some day I will buy one. Do you know if they are more expensive or less than the 197.

Once someone posted this one and I just love it

They were slightly cheaper. About $1200 cheaper if I remember correctly.

That beast has the 8.1 as well. Check out how huge that engine cover is.

HA HA!! It stands about a foot above the gunwale. The pylon is as tall as the windsheild, just to clear it!

I love the look and the storage of a 190, but I love the seating in the front of my 197 also.

what should be the proportion of sales comparing to the 197, like 1 to 10 or even more.

I would imagine that in the last few years it is probably more like 1 to hundreds. It seems that 2002 was the last year that a fairly significant amount of them were made. After that they are very few and far between.

Two 190s and thirty-three 197s. That tells you something.

I dont understand it, maybe the 197 its a better choice for the market but I dont understand why CC had sold so many close bow boats in the las years. Is it for the price??

I believe they push the 196 as the promo boat over the 206 (or that's just what the promo drivers order). So there seem to be more out there. Don't know how MC's TT boats work, but if resale is incentive, it would seem that there's just more of a market for an open bow. I recall hearing the number 8 prostar 190s made last year. ICBW.

For someone like me who will someday be looking for a newer (but used) closed bow ski boat, this kind of stinks from an availability standpoint. Just the way the wind blows though.

I was told 5, but at that point 2 or 5 you knida get the point.
That means those 2 190's are probably worth a pretty:twocents:

I may be wrong, but my impression is that the die-hard slalom skiers - who would be the market for closed bow boats - seem to lean toward the CCs. Visit the Nicholls site - they seem to talk about CCs alot more than MCs there. Maybe they direct their marketing efforts more towards slalomers?

well at least out here the cc196 is the preffered slalom boat on private lakes.

I feel that the 196 Is more simple (talking about interiors and details) than the 190 but I dont know the diference in price. By far the 190 is much nicer. The lines and design of MC are way ahead of the competition I love to see the lines of MC boats they are a piece of art.

Someone I ski with ocasionally ordered a new Bu Response (closed bow). Last year. The dealer wouldn't order it unless she paid in full first. Beautiful boat and very uncommon to see a new 2006 closed bow Bu or MC
