I'm in the market for a new rope and handle. Im pretty dead set on the masterline DLX 11 section perfect pass rope. I dont have perfect pass but the rope is still one of the best i just need suggestions on a performance high grade handle to go along with it. And also if anyone knows where to get a good deal just let me know. Thanks

If the Masterline Perfect Pass model is set up for the Perfect Pass switch, the length won't be right for you. Otherwise, Masterline seems to be a good product - I use their handle and rope.

Not to worry, the switch mainline comes with a removable Switch Section... a pretty Orange one... so it'll work just fine for him!
I've also got the Masterline 11 section main. I've been using a straightline handle for a few years. I like the shape of it it's a little oblong so it fits my fingertip grip real well. Although with my kevlar gloves I'm wearing through it in a quick hurry.
My advice for you on a handle, would be to go to your local dealership and grab a few handles and your gloves. hook the rope on a boat pylon or on something sturdy and see how it feels when you lean against it. That way you can try different size diameter handles and shapes. and see how they feel for you. That's how I ended up with my Straightline. and I'm due to make another trip and do the same thing. If you have any connections they might let you take a few home to try.
Good luck, let us know what you decide on.

Right, I knew that! :o
I was thinking that because a tournament driver was trying to sell me some new ropes that were used only once in a tournament -- cheap -- but they wouldn't work for me because I didn't have the switch. He must have thrown away the switch sections.

You should have grabbed one... those are the ropes you generously let your buddy ski with so you don't have to keep switching the handle on one main line. "huh, I'm not sure why you can't run your usual 28's today... Here, let me try... I'll use my handle on this rope..." ;)

I like the masterline line mainline also. For a handle I like the Accurate ARS Custom handles. Different diameters are avalable.

How much for the switch Rod?
PS I couldn't get too excited about a new Goode as you probably could tell. I have a Fisher on the way though! :D

I dont have any kind of proshop anywhere near here. I'm going to have to do all ordering. I see that it doesnt say anything anywahere about masterlines handles being ars but do they still do fine on that aspect of the handle? Im thinking about doing a custom handle from masterline with some engaving.

Anyone have any info on the rolling aspect of a masterline? Any kind of ARS?
