zero flex tower light lens cover

Just got my lens cover for my tower from mymastercraft. Put the thing on and went boating. On the 10 mile ride back home it must have flown off. I know I had it on there tight. I'm thinking of siliconing the next one on. I've heard of others having this problem but when I was installing mine I was thinking there's no way this is falling off cause it felt so snug. Any other ideas/suggestions? I'm leaving friday for a week long trip so I won't have one by then. I'm a little worried about it getting wet as the boat won't be sleeping in it's normal spot, my garage.

Next time buy 2, one to use and one as a spare. 1 small drop of 3M weatherstrip adhesive or silicone should keep it secure next time, then if you need to remove it will break loose with a decent effort.
