I'm looking to get a decent starting wakeboard that I'll be able to use for awhile (as I progress hopefully). I don't really anything about bindings, as far as boards go - I was thinking something wide, long (like 141) and with medium to more rocker. I'm 6' and weigh 190. I'd probably also need to let my buddies ride my board (none of them have one), so something that can work with other guys my age, around my size (maybe hinge bindings?).

Any suggestions for brand, type within brand, or bindings?

Thanks

How much are you looking to spend? Do you want new or used stuff?

I have liquid force alpha bindings, which I really love, and a hyprelite motive 143 board, I don't like it much but the price was right, FREE.
I would love to try a liquid force fish

I would try and ride as many as possible, but don't worry as much about being able to progress on the board. They'll all do the tricks. By the time you "need" another board to progress any faster, the one you buy now will be worn out, faded, ect.

I personally started on a LF Trip. Great learning board. Real consistent, quick, but not the fastest, but that is my personal preference.

She could be yours!

Where in the "midwest" are you jgonzo? I'll take you out for a few pulls so you can try the board if you wish.

I bought the ronix vault 144 a little while back. It is a wide board and maybe just a bit to big for me. The vault is more of an intermediate board with variable heelside/toeside edges. I also bought the 07 CWB Factions with hinge tech and love those because they are so easy to get in and also are very comfrotable

Rexdog1, I love the board. It feels really nice when riding behind the boat. Im not sure but i may have gotten to big of a board because i dont think im putting it to the full potentiol. I weigh 210 and im 6' so i think its ok. Anybody who asks i really just say that the board wants to pop. I went wakeboarding on April 29 and got up and started getting a feel for the new board (that i got the day before) and basically when I went to try a wakejump i was really off balance and got half way around of an invert...which really isnt that impressive. The only pic that i have is a very blurry one but ill post it on here so you can see.

IF i can figure out how to put pics on here

We went with adjustable Hyperlite Split bindings, and I was a bit worried at first that we may have some issues, especially with riders with smaller feet, but they've been great.
