I have an 1983 S&S and the trans dipstick keeps coming out can any one give me an idea on how to fix

Hold the cap/washer under the "T' handle with one hand and turn the "T" handle with the other hand clockwise, cause the black rubber has to expands as you turn it to lock it in the hole. Try it before you stick it in the transmission and see what happens.
