Man I don't care who bashes me but tell me how your going to see the jet skier at 1200 yards at dusk with the windows tinted?

You can say whatever you want but I think it is foolish to hinder your visibility for the sake of "looking cool"

Kind of deflates the blood supply to my junk just thinking of it.

Bash on guys but I don't get it...Do you think the chicks dig it? Buzzzer..

Safety first, leave the windshield as is....

TRU DAT. no bashing from me on that steve.

I agree Staristar. I have people telling me all the time, usually younger peeps, to get my windshield tinted on my MC because it would look "so cool" and I cant do it for the safety reason. We ski most times at dusk for the glass water, and visibility is an issue at that time. Tinted windshields would not be a good idea for us. The most important issue is seeing the skier in the water if he falls. and seeing other boats, jetskis like Steve said. the other issue is for seeing hazards in the water like a stick or something. I vote clear.

As much as I like the look I would rather be safer. I am surprized a dealer would this. I can see the lawyer dragging the dealer into court saying they changed the design of the boat contributing to the cause of dusk accident.

Well I am officially old because the look doesn't really blow my dress up.

Erk, did Maristar210 make that sign on the wall or was his design simply the inspiration?

I am not a fan nor a critic of the tint (last boat was this one is not.....yet). I can tell you this try putting something on the dash of your boat in the middle of a 100 plus degree day in Texas. You would tint your windows too. On my 01 Xstar I had the windows tinted and with the bimini up, at noon on a 100 degree day you would think it was 85-90. It keep the dash cool enough that sunglasses and ipods would not melt.

If you get good quality, polarized sun glasses like Coasta's or RB's you will actually be able to see more in bright sunlight without hurting your eyes.

¿qué? No entiendo the short answer is that a good glass will eliminate glare and UV for a better day of boating.
I'll suggest a glass lens so you can simply wipe the glass with your shirt after some spray off the bow and not risk scratching of the lens. Inland lakes look great with a pair of 580 green mirror or blue mirror glass like the pair shown here (http://www.truturn.com/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi?p_id=cd103190&ppinc=softgoods&exact_match=on) and here (http://www.truturn.com/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi?p_id=cd103065&ppinc=softgoods&exact_match=on).

If you've never tried on a pair of Costa 580 lenses, you don't know what you're missing.

My windshield is smoke plexiglass/ plastic,(or something of the sort) It hasn't given me any problems.. I can see just fine.. Of course I rarely even start her up past dark..

I like the way it looks....I've never driven one with tint so I can’t comment on the safety issues. ;)

If I had the cash laying around
If I drove one and liked it
If it really kept the heat and glare down

I'd do it

But I don’t
And I haven’t
So I won’t
