Idle Problem on 1996 205

I have a 1996 Mastercraft 205 with throttlebody EFI that has an inconsistent idle problem. Typically happens when dropping a skier at the end of the course. Instead of the normal 660rpms or so it runs at 800 to 1200rpms. Shutting the boat off and waiting 1 to 2 minutes before restarting usually corrects the problem. The problem started last year and happened only occasionally. It's been mostly naging until yesterday when it happened 8 or 10 times. Replacing the idle air control valve last summer was no help and neither was a help spring on the throttle return spring. The throttle seems to be returning sufficiently. Boat does have PP which operates properly.
Anyone else experience this or have any ideas on what to look at next?

Check to make sure your throttle cable is not interfering with the throttle arm on the TBI. I replaced the IAC on my '95 and it turned out to the be cable. It would reset to a proper idle when I would turn it off and then never drop below 1000 after pushing the throttle forward to any degree.
