I just bought a neoprene vest this year, one of the thin non USCG approved type. This past weekend my buddy insisted on trying it out, but he has a larger gut than me. Incidently the vest stretched out and now rides up on me when I'm sitting in the water. Is there any way to shrink these vests, because I feel like I just threw away $100. I was thinking mabey throwing it in the dryer, but any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks is advance.

Drink more beer, it will "shrink" alright.

Try covering it with shrink wrap!

thanks a lot guys, so I'm assuming there is no fix to this? Time for other people to start bringing their own gear.

I'd suggest getting the $100 from your buddy so you can get a new one. Especially since he insisted on using it.

Best solution... pony up for the nice neo-vests (ie. Oniell, Body Glove, Jet Pilot and Quiksilver) for yourself, and buy the Cosco brand neo-vests for the guests...

I agree. I bought wife, kids, and myself our vest and have the cheap community vest for everyone else. I let one person use my outlaw and they through it on the floor then started stepping on it. NO more!!!

I have a broken buckle on one of my vests. Where do you guys think I could find a replacement? I already check the dealer.

I have never looked before. Maybe Overtons or Westmarine

Not sure where you are in MN, but REI carries replacement parts for the fastex stuff.
