You, Me, and Dupree: Just finished it, more of a chick flick than I would like. Had a few funny moments but overall 2.5/5

Mr. and Mrs. Smith: On right now even though I already saw it. Not good, but its the best on for now.

when i was typing that i knew in the back of my head someone would make a smarta** comment but two of main characters lives parallel each other throughout the whole movie and they look similar (and my a.d.d. 6yr old and 11yr old kicks in sometimes) my point really was it was definitly worth watching over to get details and icant say that about too many movies i have seen in last 10 years.

I saw Blood Diamond not to long ago. I am not sure if I liked it, but it definitely made me think. Made me feel sooo bad for wearing my wedding ring too.

We watched BadBoys the other night for the umpteenth time (it's in Hubby's top 5). Martin Lawrence still makes me laugh in it.

The book I read is a novel called "Gates of Fire" if you want more of "The 300" stuff. It gives a pretty good and vivid description of the slaughter the Spartans dished out before they were over-run.

I saw Syriana a while ago. Didn't like it. It could have been a great story if it weren't for the poor script or editing or something.

300 finally came in from Netflix today. I'm hoping to watch it tomorrow. Been wanting to see it since it first came out in the theaters.

Snakes on a Plane. I'll pass. Snakes creep me out - ever since I saw "Frogs" when I was a kid. Seen that movie?

I thought Syriana was really hard to follow. The story jumped around alot. I did like it. It was one of those movies that made me think more about the world.

Haven't watched 300 yet. Not real excited about Snakes on a Plane, it wasn't one of my picks.

I hear you about the Frogs movie...freaky. Did you ever see that really low budget movie 'Alligator'? Swimming in my pool in the dark is sometimes scary because of that movie.:o

I saw 'Premonition' with Sandra Bullock last week....anyone else see that? What did you get out of it?

Anyone seen No Country for Old Men? Can anybody explain the end to me with something other than "it's a Cohen Brother's movie". I loved the movie right up to the end, then I was just confused.

I also got through 1/2 of There Will Be Blood. Long movie and slow moving , but interesting so far. I managed to get a hold of a screener copy, so I'll finish it this weekend.

I also went to a very nice theater and sat through Dr. Zhivago Wednesday night. Talk about a long (3 1/2 hours) and depressing movie. I was told going in it was a love story, but I don't see that at all. It did do a great job depicting life during the Russian revolution though.

Anybody ever heard of "Raiders of the Lost Ark: An Adaptation". It was a shot by shot recreation of the original done by a group of friends that started it in 1982 and finished in 1989. They were eleven when they started. I saw it this week and it's absolutely amazing. The video is 20 year old BetaMax, so the quality is extremely poor, but to sit there and watch the lengths these kids went through to recreate the movie is astonishing. They set themselves on fire, actually got dragged along on the bottom of a truck, they actually had the giant boulder running them down, and all the other stunts that occured in the movie. It's also really neat to see the kids grow as the movie plays. There are a few places where they went back and re-shot scenes when there was a huge physical difference with the kids. Unfortunately, you won't see this on the internet nor can you buy it. You can only see it a screenings that they do for charity. It's very entertaining and it really makes you feel like a kid again. If you are an Indy fan and the opportunity presents itself, definitely go see it.

I just watched "I am Legend" the other night. Pretty good, maybe a little far fetched. If it wasnt' for Will Smith, it probably wouldn't be as good.

i liked it a lot... the ending was really abrupt though... i wonder if they were running out of money making it maybe?

I agree, or they didn't know where to take it. What ever came of the vial of blood that he gave to her?? They could have wrapped it up a little better.

"I am legend" was a great movie. The best of its genre.

Saw "Cloverfield" and that was the worst horror flick ever. There was no back story. There was no believability. It was some monster with no history or background or sense of character. I mean even Godzilla was just a giant lizard. The monster in cloverfield was just a crazy dreamt up human like monster.

On another note "Lucky Number Slevin" is a fantastic movie. I watched it again the other day and it reminded me how great it is. If you liked "Usual Suspects" or "The Game" or "Memento" then you will like "Lucky Number Slevin".

For some reason my wife wants to go see Iron Man. Any opinions?

My son and daughter in law saw Iron Man and said they really liked it, special effects were great and the story line was real good too!!!

i thought chaos was a little heavy on action and light on plot. but i do not see an oscar in statham's future so what was i expecting!!

i am hooked on dexter on showtime right now!!

He starred in "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch" before his butt-whooping martial arts days. Great movies! Very funny.

Statham did another recent movie, about robbing a bank or something. Previews looked good. Anybody seen it? I'm thinking Netflix...

smokin' aces is awesome if you don't mind a lot of gore... i laughed my butt off... not everyone who has seen it thought it was funny the way i did but its a real shoot 'em up kind of flick and I thought it was funny... it has ben affleck in it for like 5 mins (if that long)

kiss kiss bang bang is older and a little strange but robert downey jr and val kilmer are awesome in it... you never saw this role coming from val kilmer either... especailly after watching toombstone (best movie ever made IMHO) and top gun./.. definitely worth watching

Judging by your taste in movies, you should see (if you haven't already):

- Unknown
- The Usual Suspects
- Memento
- The Game
- Pulp Fiction
- The Machinist
- 12 Monkeys
- 21 Grams

Actually most people should see these, they are awesome. Anyone looking for a good horror movie should see "The Serpant in the Rainbow".

i emphatically commend it to you... i like smart movies though... stuff like inside man and italian job... this is kind of one of those... i hope i don't play it up too much but the plotting and all that was done and how it keeps the watcher guessing and involved is awesome

o and the indiana jones movie started losing me when the ants broke "the mummy" on the guy and ran in his mouth and killed him and completely when the kid started swinging through the trees and brought the monkeys w/ him to attack... i looked at my friends and was like "i'm gone... that was stupid and it lost me"... then you had to have the National Treasure meets Independence Day ending to the whole thing... just BAD

I need help. The Netflix queue is empty except for a couple lame movies my wife put in there. Any suggestions?

Last good movie I saw was Tropic Thunder last weekend on DVD, and I generally don't like Ben Stiller's movies. Robert Downey and Jack Black were hilarious. I didn't realize Tom Cruise was in it until it was almost over. Funny stuff.

I got Wanted a few weeks ago. Sucked IMO. Angelina Jolie lost some of her sex appeal in that movie, skinny tattooed skank. And she was so hot in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Tomb Raider. At the theaters, we saw Taken (not bad, but wait for the DVD) and Push (totally sucked).
