I'm embarrassed to say, I am just getting around to getting my boat running. Last week I tried to get it running, and my starter was bad. New starter, boat started great and ran fine.

Problems:

1. Fuel leaking. I suspected the front o-ring on the balance tube. Yep. It was cut. Not sure how it happened, but fuel was definitely leaking out of there. Of course I don't have one, and since you have to take the primary bowl off (Holley) I should replace all the other gaskets. I'll probably just order a rebuild kit and use what I need.

2. Water leak. Appears to be coming from either the thermostat housing, or what I think is where the circulating water pump casting bolts to the block. Is there a gasket there? Hard to tell.

3. Water leak. Raw water pump. Could be the o-ring, or from what I have read recently here, there is another seal that could be the culprit.

Any ideas/suggestions appreciated.....especially on issue #2.

Yeah, I know, the other guys, but they are serious OLD boat gearheads not a factory site. Aside from the occasional mild MC slander, they seem to have a great respect for old S&S's, and the information tends to be more nuts, bolts and 'glass. Many parallels.
