I just ordered a new 2005 X-Star with the Fiberglass Platform. I remember a while back someone purchased a clear transom protector that adhered to the transom and was barely visible. Does anyone know where I can order this or have any other non-conspicuous ideas? Thank you.

Try here on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4525474571&category=26451).

You can probobly get it somewhere at a better price.
It is 14 MIL high density polyurethane clear adhesive film.

Try Part No. 1867T14 at McMaster Carr

Try "Mastercraft"

Try mastercraft under all catagories. That's where I seen it. Personally I would buy from dealer. If for some odd reason something went wrong my boys at the dealer would take care of me.

Has anyone used this product? Has it stayed on all summer? Can you take it off?

I did find it on ebay. It looks pretty nice. On my last MasterCraft, I had the teak swim platform with the wood transome saver.

My question is: has anyone used it to protect the fiberglass swimdeck? I can see this thing getting dinged up from skis and wakeboard fins pretty easily. I think I will get some for the transome but would also like to use it on the swimdeck. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

That's the one DanC. Thank you all for your help.

Hey DanC - My bio does not show it but I am in San Jose, CA. I'm sure I'll see you around this summer.

I am heading out to the MasterCraft factory in a few weeks. Hopefully I can be there when they are finishing up my boat.

Has anyone used this transom protector? It looks great but I am concerned if it will come off the boat.

Thanks.

Does this type fade color over time.
I've aways used the teak transom saver.
Never had a fiberglass platform
