Hello All,

I'm new to this site. Looks very interesting!

I have a rebuilt 351 PMC with a brand new Holley 4160 carburetor. I've put 23 hours on it total. When I first start out and hit the throttle, I can max 4,800 RPM's for about 5 seconds. It then begins to loss power on its own and holds 4,200 RPM's. The secondaries are opening and staying open. Fuel filter is new. Fuel is new. Electronic Ignition. Timing is perfect. Throttle cable perfectly adjusted. No blockage in the gas vent screen. Unknown fuel pump PSI.

Has anyone ever experienced this type of issue? I'm guessing the secondary or primary floats need adjusting. They were never adjusted out of the Holley box. It's an internal float adjustment. Please let me know your opinions.

Thanks,

Ken

Unknown fuel pump PSI.

That's the first place to look, when you have the symptoms that you just described. You need to find out that data before any more quessing occurs.
