View Full Version : Trailer Brakes continued.....

This weekend I towed the boat up to the slip and put it in. First time towing it since putting on the new tounge. Well there is a leak in the brake lines. I got back home and took a look, and it is the fitting going from the solid line on the frame to the hose running to the caliper.

Does anyone know if this is a standard type of fitting?

Going to take it apart tomorrow and go to the local brake shop this week.

Should be a standard size, most of the braking system is adapted from an automotive setup. If they don't have what you need, try a farm/horse trailer dealer. They'll have a much better selection if it is something unique.

Well I think it was just a loose connection. Tightened it up and bled the system. Took it out and wasnt able to back in the driveway cause of the brakes locking up. Had to get out the soldering gun and take out the plastic connector to the actuator and soldered it together. Then it backed right in like a charm. Hoping this is all that it is.
