View Full Version : Looking at 2002 Xstar -- in the morning...

Hi folks -- brand new to the forum. My deal on an 04VLX fell through today, but the mastercraft dealer in MA talked so strongly about the Mastercraft quality -- I found a 02 xstar in Michigan!

Drive to MA was 12.5 hrs, drive to Grand Rapids = 2.5 hrs!

Saw photos today -- very clean and appears in great shape. Hours our my first concern at 380 -- boat service records available through the selling dealer.

Is $35K in the ballpark or should I look for adjustment. No bimini, no heater but it does have perfect pass, cover and S/A trailer.

Btw, would I be better to look at a newer X1 or spend more for a X2? (wife, 2 kids (15, 17) -- wakeboard and lounging)8p

Great site -- I appreciate the information.

Best regards, Olive

I would say the X1 old X2 and Old xstar are your best choices The new x2 can be kind of cramped...

i have the 01 x-star,prity much the same boat, mine had 460hrs on it, we put 100 plus a yr. on a boat anyways, thats not that much.
you could look into a better price but look what time of the yr it is!!! it's selling time for them....still give it a shot. i bought mine in the fall., they did'nt want to sit on it all winter...

I have 2 used 2006 x-2's which are going to sell in the upper 50's being that they are fully loaded boats.

With that in mind, you can get a sweet 2007 x-1 at that price.....your decision.

agree, looking at sites, mid ohio watersports had the 02 x-star last fall
for 27.9 in x condition!!! gone now but thats the way prices go from spring to fall..

Im pretty positive Ryan has things backwards. The new X2 has much more space than the old X2/XStar/X1, but they both throw sick wakes.

I just bought an '01 Prostar 205V, it's the same hull as the '02 X-Star. We LOVE it.
