Welcome. The prostar 190 is a closed bow boat. Could it be a Sportstar 19? or a Pro Star 205? If you have the pictures, let's see it!

Good looking Sportstar. How many hours are on the boat? Looks to be in great shape and well taken care of.

Nice looking boat. How many hours? If they are not outragously high $15k sounds like a pretty great deal.

That looks exactly like mine. That does sound like a great deal w/o knowing anyother specifics.

Nice looking boat - not sure if you have seen it already, but there is some history on that model in another thread. To view it click here (http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=14622). Good luck with the boat. :)

Took 17K to get mine off the lot. When I picked it up it was identical to yours except it had blue accents and was filthy.

I paid 18K for mine in '05. It only had 85 hrs on it then. Trailer tires still had the nubs on them..

What is the difference between the Sportstar and the Prostar?

Check out that thread that C36 linked above. Basically, the sportstar has a few fewer refinements than the ProStar. And a different hull than the prostar of that era. It's the 95--97 hull like you have.

Ok I read it, what exactly less does it have, aside from asthetic options?

This is for 1998. For 99, there was an open bow version that would become the 195. The base engine was also the TBI Chevy 350 @ 310 hp.

More info (or a more inclusive picture of it).

Man, those things hold value like nobody's business. If someone doesn't mind telling... what did you give for your 95-97 PS190 new?

I know there's a thread on that somewhere, but I think they went for mid 20s, maybe more.

I bought the same boat, 2 yrs ago. paid 16,000, 500 hrs. Love it. Added a New Demension tower last year, Love it, All around best value for a Mastercraft.

According to the 1996 Boat Buyers guide the base MSRP on a Prostar 190 was $26,810. The as tested price for 190 w/ LT1, Powerslot and single axel trailer was $34,120

be glad you are not buying the 99 prostar. They lose value like nobody's business. I own one, so I can bash it.
