I recently posted with a question regarding the steering cable clamp block assembly. I've got the issue resolved....... I think (won't know for certain until I put it in the water).

Now my question is regarding the tiller arm. How should it be positioned? The instructions with the clamp block states that the tiller arm should be pointed "straight ahead" when the steering is at its center point. I interpret this to mean that when the rudder is straight the tiller arm should be pointed toward the bow. Is this correct? That is not how it is currently oriented.

Thanks in advance.

Stupid question. Never mind. Just realized the shaft is slotted and the tiller position is fixed.

I'm learning......

I concur, The rudder is slotted and when the rudder is straight the tiller points to the passenger side. TB
