Yes Towing. Only on the Highway. In town about 12MPGThat is really good.

My 2003 ExCab 2wd Sierra w/5.3 got about 12.5 towing my Prostar 190. That was at 75mph though. Haven't towed any distances with the new Avalanche. I am guessing about the same.

12 mpg in 2001 Chevy with 5.3 pulling a 209. Big hills and 70 mph dont make for good mileage.

I've got a 2005 Nissan Titan. I never drive it except for towing, wife drives it daily. she claims 14-15 mpg hiway. and I don't think we've ever calculated with the 197 in tow. Although I don't think it's all that different because of the trip odometer. maybe loose 1-2mpg. all our driving is freeway 70-75mph.

The Durango w/ Hemi use to get 15mpg towing the X7, and 16mpg towing the PS190. The wifes Jeep GC w/ 4.7liter got a little less.

Haven't got to pull w/ the new Tahoe yet. I am curious as to how it will do. I don't think my Audi would do to good a job towing much of anything. :D

2003 Chevy 1500HD Crew Cab SB with the 6.0 gas engine and 3.73 gears. Dragging the X-15 (around 5000 lbs, I think) I average around 10 mpg and 75 mph through KY hills and over TN Jellico mountain. If I made the same trip not towing, I'd be getting 16.0 - 16.5 mpg.

at 65-75mph it significantly drops down to 27-28mpg which is so strange...
