I am in the market for a wakeboard tower for 97 PS 205. Anyone have pros or cons on any brands? Is it worth the $$

Depends on what you do with it. If your a boarder or a foil rider, no doubt the tower is awesome. Adds a whole upper dimension to the boat. Standing up while under power, holding the boat at a dock, hanging various equipment off it, climbing around on it, jumping off it, the list goes on & on.

Paid $1500 at Wiley's.
The tower is an Ichor: http://www.ichoronline.com
Look around this group for the New Dimensions towers. Not quite as sturdy, but folds down easier & looks pretty sweet.

Do you wakeboard? If so, you'll enjoy the tower. It's also very handy to get boards out of the way. It depends, though, on what you're using the boat for, whether it's worth the money. We nearly always wakeboard, so it was worth it.
Here's the boat we sold last November, a '97 PS205 with a Skylon Swoop tower. I don't remember exactly what the tower cost, around $1500, seems like. This tower also has a ski rack available.
Couple things I wish I'd known, though: board racks were not included in the price & had to be ordered separately, and we had to have a custom bimini made once we installed the tower. It was worth putting on the tower, but I might have picked a different brand/model had I known what it would end up costing besides the price of the tower itself.

I bought from new dimension and it is being installed right now. I will post pictures when I get it back. More expensive, but the OEM look.

Hate to tell ya, C640947, but theres nothing OEM about a '95 PS with a tower on it.
One thing we've noticed about the Zeroflex, anyone who attempts tricks out to the side of the boat will notice Alottaflex.....so much so that it'll snap the handle up into the boat like it's an old ski rope.
Doesn't matter for most boarders as no one does air tricks any more. But it's pretty common for a foiler to attempt an air roll or a gainer.

Oh, good point, AirJunky. A hard wipeout to the side can also snap the handle back towards the boat. If you're wakeboarding, I would definitely recommend a non-stretch rope with a tower, as it does help keep the handle away from the boat. The handle sailed past the boat exactly once before we replaced our "multi-purpose" rope. Thankfully, we haven't had another near-miss since then, but I do warn new people to keep a sharp eye out, just in case.

I think there's one from an MC for sale on craigslist in the Sacramento area.

Frogman, I'd go new demension, w/o a doubt. Much better looking than the other aftermarket ones, and they are sturdy as hell. No complaints from our riders. :twocents:
