Well I finally got the boat I've dreamed about for the last 10 years of my life, a Mastercraft. Its a 1996 Prostar 190 with a little under 600 hours on it. The boat is at my family's summer home about 20 mins. from Minocqua, WI. I'll be keeping it there most of the time but I also go to the University of Wisconsin and live on the water so I'll have it there for a couple weeks at the end of the summer if I can find a place to keep it. Anyway just thought I'd share my story even though I haven't even driven it yet (my father got to do the test drive it while I was working). Looking forward to my first pull behind it though thats for sure.

Welcome to the club Chicago. You're going to love that boat. What will you use it for? Skiing, barefooting, boarding, all of the above....?

One pic per post will allow them to show up as images instead of attachments. ;) Just FYI.
There are a couple TT members in that area. Nice boat.

Congrats on the new boat! I live in Minocqua and saw that boat at Stengl's.....but it was not there for long:D . I just met the previous owners of your boat (they traded for a Moomba V-drive). What lake are you going to use the boat on? I have a 1995 PS 190 LT-1 and love it! Congrats again:toast:

I couldn't really tell from the pic, but is your rear facing observer seat starting to split at the seems?

I have a 96 also and mine is started to split there.

Anyone have any tips to stoping it??

Stop sitting your fat tail in it. Or have it re-upholstered!

Thanks for the welcome guys

Datdude: PMed you back. Our house is on a smaller lake in Harshaw called Lake Alva. Its a great ski lake during the week since theres no one around, but it can get a little rough on weekend afternoons.

Yes, the seats need some work. We'll probably get them redone this offseason unless its gets too bad to live with this summer.

Welcome to the board!

It is a shame you don't have a GOOD person at a local dealer to get you parts..................................

Erkle should be chiming in soon.
