It looks like it needs a little TLC but it could be a deal.

They've got a full set of skins (sans back seat) for an 80s boat as well.

Don't do it... If you run her once a year, it won't cost you much to just keep her running. Once you're out of school, you'll be missing it.

This boat actually doesn't look too bad to me. I have an 87 and am happy with it. Looks like the upholstery skins have already been replaced as every 87 that I have ever seen has fairly wide accent striped on every piece and these are solid gray. I see that the skin on the observer back is in tough shape but have seen worse.

The hull fading is consistent with just about every 87 that I have seen that has been in the sun much.

Did it say how many hours were on the boat? I would say this will go for less than $8,000 and maybe even less than $7,000 just because you can't go and look at it (or drive it) in person.

For anyone that is possibly interested in this boat I would say that the 87 is a nice boat if it is in good working condition. It has a carburetor and was originally equipped with standard (non-electronic) ignition and all maintenance is within the capability of a garage mechanic.

All in all this will probably be a nice boat for someone.

My geography isn't great for SC... is Aiken anywhere near saltwater? That might be my one concern.... wait a minute... where is this boat? In the ebay heading it says Florida but in the text it says Sout Carolina. Probably want to sort this out before you buy it.

Here is a 80 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=23807&item=7131204055&rd=1) that needs a lot of fixing up. Starting bid seems to hig for its condition w/o a motor.

Aiken is right near the Savannah River, that is probably were it was used, or Lake Strom Thurmond is also near there I think. You COULD take the S river down to saltwater, but doubt it has been done in this boat, but it is navigable. I looked at the auction. The charity it was donated to is in Fl, but the boat is in Aiken, SC.

Well I bid on the skins for a while. Now they are WAYYYY over priced. Plan to get off my butt and get mine sent in this week along with $400 to redo all my skins with original MC vinyl and all........

Florida, South Carolina, West Virginia??? I see the boat is actually registered in WV and I believe the trailer license plate is also West Virginia on the boat in the eBay listing. Just makes it more interesting.

Something is fishy!! I was just on ebay and noticed that this boat is listed twice on ebay with two different bid amounts and two different auction end dates. Check out the mysterious second auction.....

Meet Andre @ the Montreal Boatshow this evening (nice Guy)! while talking, he told me he had never seen the Okeeheelee web site (www.okeeski.com/scpb_home.html). Okeeheelee is known as waterski Mecca By many of us. :worthy:

I sent an email to Ebay to check it out, something seems fishy. If I had the day off, i'd drive to Aiken and check it out.

My in-laws live in WPB and Okeeheelee is pretty sweet. My nephew plays baseball out there. When we are down playing I'm always in trouble for not watching his game and looking over at the lakes..."Uncle Brian!" Doh! :D
