tower is installed and looks good. i will take pics tonight. one concern though is that none of the factory installed backing plates matched up with the tower mounts. i bought some steel and made my own. has anyone else noticed this problem ? 04 197.

Rod, You probably put the tower on backwards. It s/b fine either way 8p

backwards! thats funny. actually there is no room for error. the mounts are tapered to match the contours of the boat so unless you have them set perfect the mounts wont lay flat against the hull. the backing plates in the front a pretty close the rear ones are so far forward the arm would cross right in the middle of the window instead of following the outline of the window.

True, it sounds like the rear plates on your 04 are in the same area as the rear plates on my 05 and I don't really know what kind of tower would mount where they are located.

I had a Zero Flex mini tower put on my 2003 PS197 a couple months ago and had a similar problem. The place that installed it had a heck of a time trying to line up the tower and get it to fit over the mount plates in the hull. They ended up doing a Macgiver setup to it to get it to fit.

I drove down to tennessee from richmond, va. to get my ND tower installed. Wayne did not have the jig to make one for the new PS 190. The drive sucked but he did throw in the install and a light rack for my troubbles. Great operation, father and son deal. Check out my pic's if you want to see it.

Hey Rod-
Looks great. What is the greatest measurement from the floor to the highest point on the tower when the tower is folded?

That is music to my ears. I bought the tower knowing that the folded down clearance to get in the garage is gonna be tight and I wasn't sure what I was gonna do if I got it home and it didn't fit. Not that I wanna do that everytime..... I was told by NDT that the folded down height on mine would be just under six and a half feet.

If it's just like the zero flex, it will fold down enough to get into a standard garage door height when you fold the short legs too.
83" is what the zeroflex measures when my trailer is on the jack (it'd be a bit lower when actually on the trailer ball of the truck)

The collapsed ND is low. I don’t have the measurements but its much lower than the ski locker doors open on the back. If it fits in with them up you should be good.

that looks really good, i was not aware that they would fit and look good with the older body style. i really like mine , i am so glad i decided to go with nd verses the mc tower.
