guys....due to some things out of my control,i may have to occasionally put my baby into salt-water..(its better than not taking her out at all)..i will wash her down thoroughly every time.....i want to fit a flush system for the engine without having to go the route of a fake-a-lake..can you post some pics and info on how to do this..i am not moronic, but then again i am not JIMN or ENGINENUT....

Also....,as regards to rinsing off the engine....any suggestions??

thx....hopefully my situation wont arise and i can keep her in the fresh stuff....but its always handy having the flush installed

I think there's even a way to rig this up to a thru-hull fitting, but it'd require some drilling.

I have this installed on my boat and it works great. I flush it out everytime after use.

I run my boat in salt. Each time I take it out, I flush the engine for 15 minutes with fresh water. I then use a salt-x product inline and flush it for another five. I was the entire boat down, and then hose it off with the salt-x solution as well. Cover the engine and any exposed metal with CRC-646 (don't sure WD-40 as it tends to dry stuff out very quickly). I flush the trailer as best as possible with fresh water, then coat the joints, wheels, and tongue in the CRC product.

Hey sizzler, do a google search on salty flush, then look at the first result which should read Salt Water Flush.
That should solve your problem, or at least solve the problem for many on here.
