I have a 1995 ProStar 190 and I bought a Zero-Flex tower (2002-2004 equivalent OEM model) from New Dimension Towers to be installed at the local Houston, TX dealership next week. I want a bimini top for it and haven't been able to figure out just how to OEM bimini works. Where exactly does it connect to the tower or boat and does it fold down with the tower? Anyone have pictures? Anyone know about how much the dealer will (or should) ask for putting on an OEM bimini?
Thanks in advance.

Andrew, I bought an OEM bimini from Daryl Moore Marine in Houston (I think that's the only MC dealer there). No tower, but it mounted to the windshield. I think installation was rolled into the price, but was around $75. I could be completely off on that number though. They gave me the bimini at cost as I worked it as part of the boat deal.

My boat is currently at the shop having a bimini installed. The company is tower bimini and can be found at http://towerbiminis.com/index.html They do a great job, my brother has one on his Super Air. They use a clamping system so there are no holes to drill in the tower or the boat. Pics can be found at the site along with a mesurement and quoting tool. Since I live close I am having them mount it, but my brother had his shipped and mounted himself. He said the only gotcha is mount it on land so you don't drop a part in the water.
I am getting it back on monday and I will post pics when I get it back.

Those look perfect. It says for easy storage the bimini folds and attaches to the tower. I have to put my tower down each day after I use it - is it a big pain to fold this thing up? Does it take long? The site doesn't indicate how much they cost - do you know what ballpark $ they are in? I need to compare it to the price the dealership will offer me this week. Thanks a lot. This is very helpful.

There are a couple of pins you pull on the sections that release, you push it together and put the boot on, maybe a couple of minutes work. They are in the $500 range, depending on how fancy you want it to be. The more inlays etc, the more expensive it gets. They use only Sunbrella fabric, which is top of the line and will last a long time. The guy that owns it is named Jaime, I am sure if you gave him a call he could give you a quote.
