At lunch today, while eating a salad with sunflower seeds, I felt something funny in the back of my mouth that turned out to be about 1/3 of my bottom back tooth.

It got into the Dentist this afternoon and they said I need a crown and after my insurance pays their part I will still have to pay about $725.00. (BUMMER)

The only good part of the deal was the girl in the dentist office......she would look great in the swimsuit thread! HUBBA HUBBA.

I feel your pain!
Ended up buying two of those expensive puppies last year,2 k!
I would have gladly spent that money on something else...like a new ski!

My fathers a dentist... I'm predental.

When you factor in all the overhead, the receptionists, having the lease, sterilizing, wear on tools, its not like the guy is charging you highway robbery...

well unless he's a LA institute dentist, and does veneers and such as matter of course, those type of procedures are just money makers.

I'm missing all my front bottom teeth... so I've got a fair bit of dentistry that can break as well.

They want do do gold crown because they can see I grind my teeth, I asked if that would cost more and they said no.

Guess I'll look like a rapper.

I guess the 700 bones isn't too bad, I just would rather spend it on something else........like boat gas.

you'll barely see the gold back there.

If you'd like I can ask an opinion on that gold for tooth grinding.

My fronts are acrylic, but don't assume I don't wanna make one in platinum.

Yeah, I had to replace one of my back crowns with a gold one a few years back when I cracked the original crown material ... I love my Delta Dental plan, saved me a lot of Kai$h the past few years ...

8 months ago had the same "funny" feeling:eek: , 2 days later root canal. $1800.00 paid (cash).. After the "surgery" on my way out of the parking lot, the endodontist that performed the surgery followed me out, in his Brand new Ford GT40......I guess that's the closest I'll ever be to owning one, and making a portion of a payment on his doesn't make me feel any better.....:o
