went to the store to buy a wakeboard rope for my " other " boat, and did not realize how many and complicated they are. slalom ropes are very straight forward. 8 loop mainline and your set. ( waste of 5 loops since i only use three:D ) . anyway so many clolrs , sizes styles etc... and cost a $$$. so i went cheap and bought the rope/handle combo for 54.99. i figure im not going to wakeboard much so why spend the big bucks..i'm sure if i take any good riders out they carry their own rope anyway.

Just by a tubing rope and have the best of two worlds. The guest won't mind.

The biggest thing you want to consider when buying a wakeboard rope is basically the strech...You don't want any stretch, and length of the rope.. The handle is preference and yet very important...:D

agreed no stretch in a wakeboard rope is good and length is important. If you are only playing and not really getting serious about wakeboarding, any old rope will do. Good choice on not spending top dollar.

No STRETCH. Even if you are just playing around, get a cheap no stretch rope. that stretch will foster some bad habits, and when you start to really load the line, will make for some good falls.

no wonder I almost got knocked out by the handle the other day. I'll have to get a "real" rope then. thanks!

youll notice a huge difference with a rope that doesnt stretch, It makes a big difference.
