Just getting ready for the new season and noticed my fiberglass swim deck on my 205 has a few loose screws (mount is stripped). Can anyone tell me the best way to retap the holes (fill with epoxy and retap) or should I fill the holes and move the mount 3/4" outward and drill new holes. I would like to do it right and retap the original holes. Thanks for the help!

I would fill the holes with fiberglass resin and some fiberglass cloth and redrill the holes.

If you're talking about sheet metal type screws I don't think you would actually "retap" the hole since it's fiberglass. I would agree with the previous posts and fill in the screw hole with epoxy and drill a new pilot hole for the screw. Another option would be to glue a small piece of oak or marine plywood to the inside surface and run the screw into that. That way the screw would have something strong to hold on to.
