I know it has been talked about, but I still have not seen photos or any feed back on the slalom wake of a 214. Does anyone have photos ?

Could be because our dealer doesn't have any info on the 214 so far as the "New Boat Showroom" part, they do not have a 214, they have an X14.

I did not realize that the x-14's were the only ones sold so far. I would settle for a photo of an x-14 wake @ slalom speeds.

I was at the factory this afternoon and saw a couple of X14s and 214s being made. Very nice looking boat. Did not see any of them in the water.

We have an X-14 in stock. Today we finally put it on the water. I ski'd 34 mph 28 off in the course and was really impressed. The wake was a little harder than the 197 but not much. Then I actually lengthend the line and went to 15 - 34, there is where I was really impressed. Typically the longer line is where the wakes get really big. The 214 was awesome at that point. Edged right through and never felt like I was jumping out of the water at all. Then went to 22 - 34, Like all boats, the 22 wake was a little bigger and harder. Finished off with a couple more passes back at 28, didn't shorten beyond that. Typically I'm pretty picky about a slalom wake. I'd ski the course anyday with this boat. My wife was driving and said that is tracked really well once she got used to the size. I was also trying a new Radar 67" Senate, nice ski.

Then we loaded the ballast tanks and had six adults in the boat and let one of our wakeboarders ride. He typically rides an X2 at 22.5 and a 70 rope. We slowed down to 20 and pet him on a 60 foot rope. I lost track but I know he threw 7-8 different inverts, a batwing, couple of 540's and an off axis 360. Watching in the mirror, he wasn't quite as high with this boat, but it didn't slow him down at all. He said he was really surprised and didn't expect it to be as nice as it was. He described the shape as one that he could charge without getting out of control. Tom was riding a new Ronix One board.

No pics - When I slalomed - I only had a driver.

When we boarded, there were some people in the boats with film cameras, but no digital.

If I get a chance, I'll see what I can do for pictures.

Look on pages 18 and 19 of May/June The Water Skier. Great 214 ad.

Is that the one that shows the overhead view of the boat without carpet? I don't know if that one is, but waterski magazine definately had that shot last month. Anyway, there's just something that kind of irritates me about not seeing carpet on the floor. I think MC should have run that ad with the carpet installed, as the boat just looks a little goofy without it.

I also saw Doug's X14 at his open house a couple weeks ago. Definately a good looking boat! Overall, I really liked the boat and liked the seating arrangement better than I thought I would.

I would love my boat to have a glass floor with snap in carpet. the carpet would stay in the garage until I sold it. With this muddy water around here you have to be so careful about getting water in the boat because the water leaves mud spots on the carpet. Would much rather just be able to wipe it off the floor with a towel.

There are photos of it behind one we took out.
Check out

Skiing and barefooting behind it.
VERY similiar to the 197-wider and "rolls".
Way to go MC.
