Looks like you had a great time. Where are the bar pics???

My brother is burning me a CD of the pics, so the selection isn't the greatest right now. This is a pretty fun (bar) game, so fun I had to duplicate it in my basement. Thinking about another one for the backyard. Basically try to get the ring on a hook, the locals are good and they can do it with their eyes closed, from the opposite way and from the side!!

This bar is built over the water, to my right you have nice view of the bay and islands. Other than that, beers in Panama are only a dollar (at the bar) and it's so hot you have to drink them fast, before they get warm!! My favorite bar had a circular deck built over a sunken ship. When things got crazy late, people would jump in the water!!

Not the best pic, but here the ring is almost to the hook.....

Basically try to get the ring on a hook! That's a classic game!
Any idea what the length of the string is that's used and the height of the hook?
I'd like to set that up down on my dock

You know, I thought it would be 3', 4', 5', like a triangle, but the guy explained how he set it up and it worked best for me. Put the hook on first, looks to be about 5' off the floor, tie the string to the ring and put it on the hook. Take the string up to the beam overhead and screw it in, obviously the further away, the harder it's going to be. You want the ring to hit 1"-1.5" inches above where the hook is attached. (See where all the paint is worn off?) You want the string to be pretty tight at this point, so when the ring is on the hook, there is a little slack in the line. In the picture, the point you want the ring to hit looks to be in line with the bottom of the red banner. It's hard to explain in writing?

I got the string at Home Depot, the slightly oversized hook at a specialty hardware store and the ring at a locksmith.......
