I took my 99 Sportstar out for a spin 2 weeks ago, cranked OK and ran fine. Today won't start. Battery checked and good, selinoid clicks starter won't turn over. Could the starter be bad? Also the start process, ie. clicking, for the tach and speedometors is not working, so neither works, all other gauges appear to be working. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Do you hear the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key on?

Yes, all power seems to be OK except for issues noted

Check the ground connection on the engine block. Mine was a little loose and had the same symptoms.

As you are turning the key, lift the trigger and move the throttle back and forth(slowly). My 1995 PS 190 sometimes requires me to put the boat into reverse(slightly) to get it to start. My throttle cable needs to be adjusted. That would be my guess
