View Full Version : Tower height while up?

Before you tell me to, let me state I spent almost 4 or 5 minutes searching old posts for this answer before my laziness overwhelmed me and I just asked again. :D

Anyone know the height of a X-15 (or similar) tower, on the trailer, with nothing folded - like while trailering? I don't need exact to the inch, but 11'? Above 11' but not more than 11' 6"? Above 11' 6" but no more than 12'? What height bridge or drive-thru can I pass under without cringing? Once it's under the garage door, how tall does the garage ceiling need to be to put the tower back up?

highway calculations conducted by my teenage son with his head out the window at 75mph indicate less than a tractor trailer. (and yes bugs do hurt at that speed)

Sorry but I don't know the number

How about on an 06 X-7? Can't be too much different can it? How about how much room do you need to swing the tower up once you're in the garage?

I haven't even taken my tower down yet.

For what it's worth.

I have a 2002 197 with Zero flex tower. My garage ceiling is 12' and just the top of the light on the tower hits the ceiling so I can't quite get it all the way up once inside the garage. :( I think if I would have built the garage ceiling at 12'6" it would have cleared... it's that close.

So my 2nd garage is going to have 14' ceilings and a 12'+ door.;)
