1997 Maristar 225, Aligned The Engine To The Shaft (.003 Tolerance). Now The Shaft Rides Offset And Dangerously Close To The Log. Is It Possible The Log May Be Out Of Alignment? Is Their Room To Adjust The Log One Way Or The Other? Last Posted The Beginning Of This Problem On 3-31-07. Any Help Would Be Great.

first question, did you find the center of the shaft's movement before aligning the engine?

When the shaft is disconnected from the engine it will move down, you must find and prop it so that its centered up/down and side to side, and use that as a fixed reference point.

hen you make the engine concentric to the shaft and get your .003

Yes, I Did Find The Center Of The "shaft Play". Well, At Least Horizontally. This Is A V-drive The Shaft Coupling Can Only Move Up About 1/8" (before It Hits The Transmission) So Finding The Center Up And Down Is Impossible.
