 Does anyone have any up to date info on Lake Cumberland? I heard that they would be lowering the lake for some repairs to the dam. How much are they going to lower it, when, how long, etc... Thanks

Currently they are holding the water level to 680' above sea level. Normal pool is around 720'. They are expected to hold this for 5-7 years depending on how repairs on the Dam progress. There has been a rumor that they may need to lower it another 30', but that is highly unlikely. Lake has gone from 54,000 acres to around 35,000 acres. Still plenty of water down there to enjoy. Buddy of mine who is a regular there says it is down, according to him the main body is still great, some of the shallower areas in the fingers are suffering but all in all still okay. He also told me they are moving or have moved Alligator Dock. Apparently he also said a new State dock will be in operation where Alligator was. This is rumor but I believe him.
I would guess there will be a bunch of overflow of boaters on Dale Hollow and surrounding areas, Cumberland might just be the best place to go afterall this summer....who knows

I know I have asked this before, but what could take 7yrs.?????? several dams in east tx. were lowered for repairs after rita pounded them. I think they were down a few months. Hope they get ya'll back up to pool ahead of schedule. ;)

Mag,
Is that a pic of the area heading into 76 falls?Nope. That's was a nice little creek off of Fishing Creek before you get to Lee's Ford Marina. I'll see if I can find a pic of what used to be 76 falls............it's completely dry now:(
