I just got this for my son's birthday $5.67 or so at Walmart with many other colors. The MC online store used to have older style with a trailer, and since I could no longer find those anywhere I was stoked to see these. I just made some adjustments to another toy trailer but may make a custom tandem trailer with some small boxed aluminum I found. I have no idea how to make a boat buddy yet. I may have just qualified myself for OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder).

My wife thinks I will be playing with it as much as my boy. I may chop off the prop, shaft and rudder because that dang prop chews me up when my boy runs the boat accross me. I think he does it now because he gets quite a reaction.

This is brand management and product licensing at it's finest!

There is a bigger '05 there now for $80. It's freakin' huge! Who has a pool big enough for this thing? I like your size better Milkmania.

You can find the dark red colored X-star in Sebring Florida at Walmart. I believe they carry the black one as well. This was as of summer 2004.

I haven't seen that tower, but like it. Also, 19.2V on that remote boat, drop a car battery in it!

Really want to get the KIDS one of the remotes, think they would enjoy it.

Ryan,

Is yours remote controlled? Our Wal Mart had one that looked about the same size and style as yours (approx. 4" long), but it was remote controlled and cost about $15.00.

The little X-Star is not R/C my boy is a little young for that. In fact it does not even float being die-cast metal and all.

I got this Playmobil boat for him last year. It has a torpedo looking motor that attaches to the bottom and is interchangable with the accompanying jetski.
