I found an X-30 fiberglass swim platform to replace my teak platform on my ProStar 205. I know it is larger than the fiberglass platform that is made for the 205, but will it still fit? If not, I will continue my search for a 205 platform.

Any advise would be very much appreciated. :)

Don't know the answer to your question, but if you find it does not, I have an '03 teak platform brand new with brackets for $400.00. It's off my PS-197, I bought the matching fiberglass platform.

Lots more pictures and measurements available, if your interested, send me a message.

Judging from the width of the two boats, I'd say maybe.
X-30 - 98"
209 - 96"

Ask the seller for the measurements. Maybe it'll fit.

Why would you want to get rid of a beautiful teak platform? Too much maintenance? I think teak looks great if it's maintained.

If you want to donate your old teak platform, I'll take it. I'd like to use it for my bar in the basement.

Width is important but you should check the bracket location and curvature too.

I'm sure it would be easier to retro-fit a teak platform as opposed to a Fiberglas platform. With teak you could always move the mounting brackets and reshape the piece that fits up against the transon. :twocents:

Bingo.... it'll probably hold up better as a bar anyway.

Retrofitting fiberglass? Why wouldn't that be easy (non-gel coated type)? In fact, seems as if a good local body shop could handle it...a little matting, a little resin and cover up the mistakes on top with a thin coat of deck compound - presto???
