Carb gas leak/water leak with pics

Hey guys,
Just got the boat (79 SS) up and running for the first time this season. I found a small gas leak on the carb (see pics) it is very small, barely a drip so I was wondering if their was some flame resistant caulk I could stop it with? Or do I have to get a new carb?

I also have a water leak at the end of the U-pipe in the pics. At the base of the pipe is a rusted bolt that cannot be turned--the leak (constant drip) is coming from this area--you guys have any suggestions? What is a good caulk I could put on this? Thanks

You can JB weld the carb in that spot. I developed a leak there last season and sealed it up this way. This seems to be a common place for the carb to leak.

The source of your water leak is one of the places youre supposed to drain the water from the block. If you cant free the plug, you may want to consider replacing the whole elbow.

Thanks--I was thinking JB weld might work--I was just worried about flammable vapors.

Ya, the elbow will probably need to be replaced--thanks again!
