Just tried starting up my boat, sounds like it is going to get going but it doesn't. Pretty sure that the fuel pump is running, looking for some other suggestions.

Could be a few things...could you be more specific on what the engine is doing or not doing?

Its cranking over from the starter, got water running through. Tried giving it some throttle, still wouldnt take it. What is a good way to check if the fuel pump is running?

Anyone know where the circuit breaker for the fuel pump is?

What makes you think it is the fuel pump? Was it running ok the last time you used it? Is it possible that the kill safety switch has come off next to the drivers seat? This will allow it to turn over, but you will get no spark, and it will not run. Is this the first time it has been started since winterization? Did you winterize yourself? I have seen instances where someone pulled the spark plug wire from the coil to the distributor during the winterization process just to be sure it would not start when spinning that last little bit of water out of the water pump.

Good Luck,

Steve

Plug wires are on, safety lanyard is attached. Winterized it my self. I just dont hear the fuel pump running. I thought it was earlier but it was something else.

Is it possible that the kill safety switch has come off next to the drivers seat?

Minor Threadjack: I did this one time. Had some friends in the boat. Would not start. Steaming mad. Finally....looked down and saw I had the safety switch open. :o :o :o

I had the clip on, stuck my hand down where it was on the side, played with the wires, tried again, and it started. Im gonna have to double check all the connections before I head out. It was just so nice to know that it started up right away.
