I've got a new to me king sized bed made from this wood, that my brother is GIVING to me & the wife. Gonna put it in the hunting cabin that I'm building. All I gotta do is disassemble it, pack it up, and try to figure a way to get it from Breckinridge Colo., to Brunswick, Ga., without toooooo much damage. Anybody got any good ideas as how to go about this? Renting a U-haul truck will cost me about 1600.00. I can rent a truck from Alamo for about $350.00, which I thought was a pretty good price, considering. Either way, it's still gonna cost me out the a$$!

Ever think of a private carrier? A few years back we bought some stuff in SC, had it shipped to Indy by an independent company, at that time it cost about 500 bucks, they were liscened and insured, even hauled it in and set it up. I guess for us it was a good deal.

How about crating it up and shipping it motor freight?
Broke down it should fit in a 4' x 8' x 4 crate.

I certainly plan to take a boatload of pics. This particular one has the canopy, and a bench at the foot of the bed, so getting it put back together will be a trick! I guess I could call a moving co. to ship it, cause it will have the box spring and mattress with it. It's also a king size bed.
