Thought I'd post a couple pictures of my new X-15. I picked it up yesterday and enlarged my garage door all day today. I can't wait to get it in the water and start breaking it in! :D

Great looking rig! I've got a black '07 Tahoe and black and white '06 X-15 Slider. Absolutely love the boat - was out in it all day today and yesterday! You will absolutely love it! Curious if your X-15 came with the big X-15 on the side, or if you had to order it extra? I've got a big white side that is dying for an X.

The graphic on the side of the boat shown in the first pic is the switch graphic available from MC.

Your boat cost more than my wife, one kid, a house, and two cars combine. :D

Great boat. I bet the garage upgrades were a pain.

socalbrew,
We have and x-15 delivered x-switch style but did not want the graphic. We have the decals at the dealers with the boat. Don't know what color but would expect navy as the boat is yellow/navy. The decals are available to you if they are the right color as long as you take care of shipping, we have no use for them.

Nice x-15 , what is the engine in the truck and how does it tow? I am hoping to get away with towing with a small eight on a 97 sierra for a year. Want to pay the mortgage off before buying a new tow rig.

The truck is a black '03 1500HD with the 6.0 gas engine and 3.73 gears. Pulls the boat great and seems to prefer 70 - 75 mph (around 2300 rpms). I averaged about 10 mpg over Jellico and from Knoxville to Cincinnati (290 miles and more uphills than downhills most of the way). Rock solid up to 80 - 85 mph on some of the down hills.

The boat is navy and did have the white X-15 (Backside or Slider style) on the rear. The wife was much more taken by the 'Switch' graphic, so we had it switched. :D

The garage mod wasn't really that big of a deal. It is siding and the header beam was at about 8.5' with framed in wall below. It was a relatively simple affair to cut the drywall 12" up and remove it. Remove two rows of siding and disassemble the garage door, then remove the framing below the header. I added two 2x4's below the header and a trim board to get a finished height of 7' 11.5" and my new door gets installed at 8 tomorrow morning.

Oh, and 'Boatless', a boat NEVER costs more than a wife and kids do.

I can't wait to get in in the water :woohoo:

The switch graphics are a sort of transparent decal in the flame portion so the hull color sort of shows thru. All of the switch graphics are one color - not color matched to the boat.

Nice looking boat! My next boat would be the X2 or X15. So where are you located in Cincinnati? I live near North Gate Mall. Where do you float your boat??

I do believe they are all one color, but it doesn't look transparent in any way - just black and gray with a bit of red in the 15.

I live in Loveland. We will hit Brookville a bit this summer, but we mainly hang out on Norris Lake in TN. Once we get out house built down there, the boat will probably stay in TN, but since it's new, I'm way too excited to not be able to look at it a lot and be able to have the occasional after work weeknight trip to a local lake to play a bit.

Painted a lot of Zicka homes in Loveland. We'll have to hook up this Summer if you have the boat up here. My 209 says at Cumberland. BTW.......you'll have to come to Mag Mania this coming Fall.:headbang:

You NEED to come to Mag Mania! You are close enough for no excuse to be relevant. Sorry, thats just the way it is!

We have a 2006 x-15 with a White Hull and a Red Block on the rear with the X15 in Black. I have been thinking of adding some graphics on the side to take up some of the white space. I do have the "Mastercraft" logo that I might add but is that logo proper on a X Series boat?

Like the graphic on somebody elses boat, but we both felt it wasn't us. We did put the mastercraft graphic in the rear quarter. The bigger engine is what will make the difference 6.0 liters in towing. We have started to think maybe a tundra with the new max cab. humongus in the back seats. Son is 6'2 195 and growing. Now when we go on long trips we need to take the truck and the car.... Not as good as a truck doing 10 per.

The flame portion of the decal is semi transparent. There are little holes in the decal to let some of the boat color thru the decal. The decal will appear more grey on lighter boats. I sold a switch X-Star in navy blue to an owner earlier this year. He had new decals made so they were more apparent on the boat side and I peeled the old decals off the boat. Call me if you have some questions.

great looking boat!! My X-15 just came in last week. I should have some pictures next week (switch model; viper red; silver flake on the back part); the decal has red and silver [grey] which seems to match really well with the viper red; I won't be in the water until May (lots of ice still to melt) but can hardly wait; I went with the LY6 400 hp engine....anyone with some experience with this engine care to comment?

Great looking boat....we have an x-15 on order as well, Switch with Viper Red, Black and Gray; MCX. Hoping to get it by the end of April. Will definitely post pics. We also are in Cincinnati, Hyde Park. Rented a cabin near cumberland this summer, planning on spending most weekends there.

I had never seen one in person either, until I went to pick it up, Still hoping for some good weather this Sunday to get it on the water and start my break-in. I have the feeling that is going to be a loooong 10 hours!
