I've watched people ski behind the X-2, and have a customer that is awaiting delivery of his custom ordered MariStar 200 w/ LY6 engine :)

Hey Eric! I see you're up late too.:wavey:

Had to go pick up a boat for a possible deal tomorrow. Nothing like starting a 250 mile trek at 10pm....just got back at 2am.

It's not a 214, however, I have skied and footed behind the X2. The wake is comparable to the old X10/210 which was basically a v-drive version of the 209. I wouldn't want to run the course behind it, however, it is a really nice all around recreational boat. For footin' it was not bad at all, as the table was firm and wake crossings were just fine...again for recreational use, which is what most of us do anyways.
If I was not into course skiing, the X2 is the boat I'd own. If you haven't driven one, you need to, as you will be amazed at how well this boat handles. It feels like a much larger boat when sitting inside, however, it is only a 20 footer...nice job MC it's a great boat once again.

Hopefully I'll get out behind a 214 later this week...if the Ohio weather decides to cooperate. If I do, I take photo's and post them along with just my opinion (for what it is worth).
Just a side note, while at the factory earlier this week, I got a good look at the hull of the 214, and when you see it from the rear, it is sure looks like the 197. From what our tour guide said, some local guys in TN have set personal bests behind it in the course already this year......skiing is believing though.

I was supposed to ski one Saturday, however, got sicker than a dog and never went. Bummer. I was trying to get some pre scoop before I went a skied it. Will not have another chance until the weekend after Easter.
