Was in Las Vegas this weekend and randomly decided to rent a lamborghini gallardo. I highly recommend screwing the gambling budget and spend your money doing this - awesome time. ~$700 for most of the day.

So how many cup holders are in that thing?:D

Seriously...........so how fast did you get her up to?? I would have headed out to the desert and had my way with her like a cheap date.

it was the e-gear and at first i was concerned something was wrong with it. then I realized you have to drive it like a manual transmission car, but the clutch and shifting are done for you. I wish he (guy I rented it from) had told me that before I took it out. Would have saved an hour of concern on my part.

no cup holders, but i did take it through the mcdonalds drive through just because i could. ;-)

i didnt go over 110 cause i didnt want to get arrested for more than doubling the limit. but i tested MANY times how fast I could get to 110. And let me tell you it gets there quick

Very cool! And not too bad of a way to spend $700 compared to losing it on the tables.

I've done that in Vegas twice, but opted for the cheaper cars :) went with a viper for a full day for 299 once and a Z06 for a full day for the same price the next time. Took them out to the desert and ripped them up. Both were fun to drive, the Viper took a lot more ability to push it (and it was hotter than hell). But, i'd take the Z06 any day between the two. I could only imagine a Gallardo!

Where did you rent that from? I'm heading there in a few weeks and would love to do that for a day.

Wow! That's great. Much better deals in Vegas it seems. Looked into renting a Ferrari, but I recall the prices being higher in any nearby metro areas.

I'd bet you could haggle depending on what they have in their inventory for that day that isn't rented already.

Talk to a guy named Mike. Real chill dude. He will work with you depending on the situation. I rented day of and he happened to not have it rented. I was a little over $700 for most of the day on it. One thing about this place is you have to have your own insurance. Others offer insurance. I checked my insurance while in Vegas (agent's 24 hour line) and after two hours on the phone they said I was good. I wasn't. I foudn out after the fact that my insurance only covered me for 100k on it. Its worth prob 150. I would HIGHLY recommend checking with your agent to make sure you are FULLY covered if you do this. I have upped my coverages for if I do it again.

Overall yes it's a lot of cash for the afternoon, but considering how much most blow at the tables while there, this was an awesome investment of my time, experience and money. But I like cars. And I like to go fast. Real fast.

Good luck on it and if you rent post some pics.

I will need two booster seats for my little guys...does that thing have room?

Just kidding...what a great idea, getting value for the money instead of just leaving the dough at Bellagio.
