ok. Here's a question. I have never heard of the 192 skier until yesterday. Is this a boat that was just lost in the mix? Anyone out there able to help me? How many years did they make these boats, how good was/ is the wake, why did they stop making them, and anything else you want to add in..

If you are refering to the one listed on Boat Trader (http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/0/3/77219203.htm), my guess it that it is actually an 89 TriStar 190.

Check out page 15. (http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/local_links.php?action=jump&id=2).

Definitely a Tristar 190. I have one. It has a pretty decent slalom wake for practice and I use mine in the course often. Doesn't track nearly as well as the prostar. Bow rider is nice for carrying kids. Not a good open water boat though as it won't take a chop and beats the heck out of ya!

Rick usually enjoys chiming in on the finer points of owning a Tristar. Expect to hear from him shortly. I owned one as well and agree with Pilot02, tough in the chop, but I liked the boat a lot. I believe it was replaced w/ the PS205 Griff, Long time, how are you??

good ski boat, ok wake. It was an attempt by M/C to create the perfect 3 event affordable boat. Little bit of a rough rider, handles good, but a higher end skier will pull the boat around, as it doesn't track well. Inside is little more cramped. Swim platform requires some sort of anti skid material.

Funny I just downloaded the '88 brochure from this site yesterday. From what everyone says the Tristar is terrible in the chop but get this quote from MC in the brochure, page 12:

"deep V entry hull to slice through even the choppiest waters for a smooth, steady ride"
