Pulling the boat out of storage and was wondering if anyone buys there plugs from autozone. It has the MCX and is an 06. Auto zone says the part is not showing up with the reference from the owners manual.

Thanks

Boat sparkplugs are stainless steel. My local parts stores didn't have 'em. I cros referenced to std automotive plugs and used them. Of course my boat/bilge is dry most of the time, so not as much chance of them rusting.

That engine came with platinum tipped AC 41-932 spark plugs from the factory gapped at .060". You can save some money and get just as good performance from a standard AC MR43LTS plug gapped at .045".

I have 8-AC MR43LTS plugs, if anyone wants them... I have them as spares for my boat, but since I am selling it, I no longer need them. PM me if ya want them!

NAPA Automotive stocks AC MR43LTS plugs. I just picked up a set for my MCX.

The 2006 lists "tune up" as annual maintenance. While he may not have owned it for a full year yet (not sure about that), the engine was probably manufactured in 05. Whenever the plugs made it in there, I don't know, but it's getting close to being a year. Yes, it's probably overkill, but it is recommended in the manual for whatever that's worth.

Speaking of that. I was thinking of changing mine already... But I think with only 40+ hours on it I should be good to go!
