Is there a trick to replacing the tailights on a 96 ProStar trailer? I got the light housing out but can't seem to get the wiring unplugged. I didn't want to force it too much. Do I just pull the black plug out and replace the entire housing or can one get to the bulb to replace?
It's the entire housing, can't just replace the bulb since they are sealed lights. Yes, the plug does just pop off. If it's corroded on, maybe try some penetrating oil over night. That's worked for me in the past.

Plug should have been installed with some dialectric grease, more suction problem than stuck.. Just pull it off.. When installing new one, reuse dialectric grease to help keep contacts dry and clean...

I'd ad that you can get those Anderson tail lights at Walmart for about the same price as anywhere else. I ended up having to use the rubber gasket from the old light on mine though. A little soap helps to get it seated.
Yep, Walmart and Northern Tool both carry them.
