Anybody ever use take apart hinges for their engine cover hinge? Do you like them?

My boat has them and they aren't bad. One problem though is that you have to move teh motor box over constantly.
On a side note;
I have a soft spot in the floor right behind the motor cover. Can I turn the piece of flooring around and reinstall the hinges on the other side just to get me through this season?

Had them on my previous boat, loved them.
My current MC didn't have them so I replaced the mounting hardware on one side of the hinge with pull pins. Works nice.

I have them on my current ride, They come in handy when you need to work on the motor....
